Wanda Leah Green, 97, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at Arbor House Assisted Living on March 14, 2026. The family would like to thank Arbor House and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care.

Wanda was born on August 16, 1928, to Leo and Irene Gully at Shawnee Memorial Hospital.

She graduated from Dale High School as valedictorian in 1946 and then attended the University of Oklahoma for one year. After the year at OU, she returned home to help raise her baby sister.

On February 4, 1950, Wanda married Lloyd Edward Green of Meeker, Oklahoma. Together, their family grew with the birth of Denise, and three years later, the birth of Leah Angela. Wanda and Lloyd lived in Harrah, Oklahoma City, and Ada. They were members of the 25th and Geraldine Church of Christ in Oklahoma City and the Central Church of Christ in Ada.

Wanda stayed at home to take care of the girls, but was very busy. She was a seamstress, was very involved in the girls' school activities, and enjoyed hobbies such as painting, knitting, and crocheting. She loved playing all kinds of musical instruments, such as acoustic guitar, electric guitar, accordion, organ, and piano. She also enjoyed photography and developed her own photographs. In her spare time, she loved to read mystery books and the Bible. She eventually sold World Book Encyclopedia, worked at C.R. Anthony Department Store, and ended her career as a teller at the First National Bank in Ada, Oklahoma. She then moved to Norman and was a longtime member of the Westside Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her parents, Leo and stepmother Catherine Gully, her mother Irene Wilkins, and her sister Elizabeth Rooker.

Wanda is survived by her two daughters, Denise Fuchs and her husband Mark of Norman, Leah Angela O'Donnell and her husband Kent of Norman, her sister, Michaela, and her husband Paul of Tuttle. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kara Lee and her husband Chris of Oviedo, Florida, Ashleigh Dent and her husband Ryan of Norman, Keaton Fuchs of Houston, Texas, and Hayley Fuller of Norman. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Riley Dent, Jayden Lee, Kali Dent, Addison Fuller, Remington Dent, Weston Lee, Wyatt Fuller, Wesley Fuller, and Reid Fuller.
