Tim Calonkey, a lifelong resident of Norman, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on November 4, 1966, Tim brought warmth, generosity, and steadfast devotion to everyone fortunate enough to know and love him.

Tim grew up in Norman, graduating from Norman High School before earning his degree at the University of Oklahoma. Deeply rooted in his community, he dedicated many years to working at his family’s business, Mister Robert Fine Furniture and Design before stepping away to focus on managing his rental properties.

Tim’s heart was defined by his desire to help those important to him. He devoted his later years to providing compassionate, in-home care for his aging parents, tending to them with unwavering patience and respect until their passing. Tim always tried to do his best, giving freely of his time, attention, and kindness without asking much in return.

Tim was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of OU football with precise detail of dates, plays, and game scores. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and particularly the Rosary. Above all, he brought kindness to his beloved nieces, nephew, and grand niece and nephew.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Sara Jean and Bob Calonkey, and his sister, Ellen Bones.

Those who will mourn his loss include his devoted sister, Keven Calonkey Carl, and her husband, John; nieces, Sara Mongold, and her husband, Gray, and Caroline Irvine, and husband, Andrew, as well as nephew, Paul Bones and his wife, Bradlin, and his grand niece and nephew, Emma and Cooper Mongold as well as a host of workers at Mister Robert, and others who knew him in the community.

A Rosary for Tim will be held in the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Thursday 9-24-26 at 6 pm, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10:30am Friday, 9-25-26.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you honor Tim’s memory through an act of kindness for someone in need or a donation to All Saints Catholic School.

Arrangements for Tim and his family have been placed in the care of Tribute Memorial Care of Norman.
