Stephanie Ann Bell

February 26, 1941 — November 8, 2025

Norman

Stephanie Bell, 84, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. She was born on February 26, 1941, in Velva, North Dakota, to Sigard and Evelyn Reishus.

Stephanie’s life journey took her through several states, but in 1961 she found her forever home in Norman, where she built a life full of love, laughter, and family. She was a woman of spirit and style, known for her sharp wit, confident presence, and unmistakable high heels — her children often joked that she couldn’t walk without them!

A lifelong lover of movies, Stephanie dreamed of a career in the film industry and spent many hours enjoying the golden age of Hollywood’s classic films. Before moving to Norman she attended The Pasadena Playhouse’s School of Theater Arts. She even named her beloved cat after the industry she so adored — a small but fitting tribute to her creative and playful soul.

Stephanie attended OSU–Oklahoma City, where she earned her nursing assistant degree. Her caring nature and compassion for others made her a natural caregiver, but her proudest and most fulfilling role was as a devoted mother of four. Family was the heartbeat of her life, and her love extended across generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Richard Stephen Bell; and her brother, Mark Reishus.

Stephanie is survived by her son, John Bell and his wife Pamela of Norman; daughter, Nicole Bell and her husband Branden Hart of Norman; daughter, Kimberly Bell of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; grandsons, Brandon Bell, Hudson Hart, and Brice Bell; granddaughters, Morgan Bell and her husband Jason Ayala, Alex Coriou and her husband Jonathan, and Emma Nadeau and her husband Gavin; and great-grandchildren, Ben and Beau Coriou, Lillian Coriou, and Eleanor Nadeau.

Stephanie will be remembered for her radiant personality, her love of sunshine and laughter, and her ability to make any gathering brighter. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that her warmth and light live on through those she loved most.
