Rodney Thomas Stack

Rodney Thomas Stack passed away at his home in Norman on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the age of 57. Born on September 21, 1968 in Frederick, Oklahoma, Rodney lived across several cities in Oklahoma, making lifelong connections along the way.

He was a kind, caring man whose loyalty to friends was never ending. Known for his infectious smile and warm heart, Rodney had an innate ability to see the best in everyone. Gifted with a great sense of humor, his wit could make you crack a smile even in the worst of times. From Pink Floyd to James Webb, Rodney had an enormous passion for music and space. He loved nothing more than discussing those topics with anyone interested and willing. His other loves included OU football, spending time at the family cabin in Colorado, his faith, fishing, and more than all, cooking. He made his life working in the backs of restaurants, but his true art was what he created in his own kitchen.

His memory and legacy will be kept alive through his loving mother Sallie Upchurch; daughter Brittany Stack; grandsons Thomas Cazares and Asher Cazares; brother Mark Stack, and all the rest who knew and loved him. A memorial service in his honor will be held January 13th, 11 a.m. at Tribute Memorial Care, 4300 W. Indian Hills Rd, Norman, OK 73072.
