Obituary

Robert James Joseph was born on October 20, 1952, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, to Robert William and Mayme Joseph. He passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 73.

Robert graduated from Yukon High School and married Kathryn in 1974. He worked as a machine operator for Producers Co-Op Oil Mill, where he dedicated more than 30 years of service.

In his quieter moments, Robert enjoyed watching television Westerns. Gunsmoke was a particular favorite and brought him many hours of entertainment over the years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert William and Mayme Joseph, and his wife, Kathryn Joseph.

He is survived by his son, Michael Joseph, and his wife, Jodi; his daughter, Melissa; and his six grandchildren, Austin, Gracie, Katlyn, Chloe, Allie, and Andrew.

Robert’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Twenty Fourth Place Nursing Home and to his dear friends, Jodi and Aimee, for the care, friendship, help, and support they provided throughout the final years of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Robert’s honor.

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.Where there is hatred, let me sow love;where there is injury, pardon;where there is doubt, faith;where there is despair, hope;where there is darkness, light;and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seekto be consoled as to console;to be understood as to understand;to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.
