Rita Ann Hunt, 77, of Norman, OK, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2026.

Rita was born on September 12th, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri. Rita loved Jesus, music, gardening, birds, painting, knitting, sewing, ceramics, Mexican food, and, above all, her family. She devoted her life to helping others, loving and caring for her family, and looking for the good in all situations. Although she preferred to stay in the background, her presence was always felt and loved.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the Singing Church Women of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Home & Community Education, and a precinct official for the Cleveland County Election Board.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters, Stacy and Ginger; her brother, Carl; her grandchildren, Austin and Stephanie; and her sons-in-law, Chris and Carlos.

A celebration of life will be held on July 9th at Bethel Baptist Church.
