Owen Thomas Keel, 91, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1934, in Troy, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Myrtle (Hobson) Keel.

He was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation. After graduating high school, Owen proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he built his life and career in Ardmore, Midwest City, and Norman, where he settled in 1960 working for the United States Postal Service. A man of deep faith, Owen served as a Deacon at West Side Church of Christ, where he dedicated his time and heart to his church family.

On October 31, 1953, Owen married the love of his life, Wyvonnia, in Gainesville, Texas. Together they shared almost 72 years of love, laughter, and devotion, building a legacy rooted in faith and family.

Owen is survived by his wife, Wyvonnia; their children; daughter, Debbie and her husband Doug and son, Greg and his wife Rita; granddaughters Jenny, Christina, and Emma and her husband Cole; great-grandsons Donnie and Hayden; all who continue to carry on his legacy of love and strength.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man who lived his life with honor, faith, and humility. His family takes comfort in knowing his influence and love will continue to guide them for generations to come.
