Obituary

Mashallah Hossein Hakim was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1939, son of Asghar and Aroos Bashi Hakim, one of six siblings.

Mashallah moved to the United States in the 1960s and studied electrical engineering at the University of Oklahoma. He worked for OG&E for almost 50 years.

Mashallah was a dedicated member of the Bahá'í Faith, serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Norman for many decades. He had an upright character and was noted by his kindness and generosity for all that crossed his path. He loved being around family and friends and loved watching University of Oklahoma football games.

Mashallah is survived by his wife of 53 years, Azam; two sisters, Mahboobeh and Munirih; two children, Boback and Melody; daughter-in-law, Necia; son-in-law, Ghaneh; and two grandchildren, Nura and Sameh.
