Mary Mae Sutton, 92, passed away on July 21, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1934, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Arthur Delmar Farley and Rosetta Underwood Farley.

Mary devoted 33 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse technician. Her compassion, dependable nature, and commitment to helping those in need touched the lives of many patients and families throughout her career.

Beyond her work, Mary enjoyed tending her garden and watching the things she nurtured grow and flourish. She also generously gave her time through volunteer service, finding meaningful ways to contribute to her community. Caring for others was not merely Mary’s profession; it was an enduring part of the life she chose to lead.

Mary was the oldest of twelve children. Her siblings were Delmar Farley and his wife, Joann; David Farley; Henry Farley and his wife, Wyoma; Danny Farley; Willie Farley and his wife, Nora; Dolfas Farley and his wife, Robbie; Jerry Farley and his wife, Judy; Martha Anderson; Betty Head and her husband, George; Ruby Cox and her husband, Dwight; and Ruth Farley.

Survived by

Mary is survived by her dear friend, Eugina Bigbee; her brother, Jerry Farley and his wife, Judy; and her sisters, Martha Anderson, Betty Head, Ruby Cox and her husband, Dwight, and Ruth McKelva. She is also survived by extended family members, friends, and others whose lives she touched through her work and service.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Sutton; her parents, Arthur Delmar Farley and Rosetta Underwood Farley; and her brothers, Delmar Farley, David Farley, Henry Farley, Danny Farley, Willie Farley, and Dolfas Farley.

Mary will be remembered for her caring spirit, her years of dedicated service, and her willingness to give her time to others. Through the patients she cared for, the community she served, and the beauty she cultivated in her garden, Mary leaves behind a quiet and lasting legacy of compassion.
