A Celebration luncheon honoring the life of Linda Battison will begin at 12:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2026 in the Celebration Center at Tribute Memorial Care, 4300 West Indian Hills Road in Norman.

Linda was born on Saturday, November 1, 1947 in Tulsa, OK the daughter of Bobb Ray and Pauline (Edna) Bingham. She passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 in Norman at the age of 78.

She attended public schools in Tulsa, graduating from Central High School in 1965. Linda began a career in banking, working with United Bank in Tulsa. She was elevated to Vice President where she supervised the teller line operations and employees.

Linda was united in marriage to Mr. Larry Battison on Friday, January 21, 1977 in Tulsa. Soon afterwards, Linda retired from United Bank to focus on her two daughters and became a true homemaker. She was in charge of all household operations including all the expenditures while her husband, Larry was busy with his career. Linda and Larry and the girls left Tulsa in 1983, moving to Duncan, OK where they purchased their first automobile dealership. They remained in Duncan until 2012, selling the business and moving to Norman where she has resided ever since.

Linda stayed busy with the girls, transporting them to all of their activities. She was a horse show Mom, traveling the country to horse shows with her daughter, Courtney. When the girls left for college, Linda, being an accomplished sewer, began quilting. She hand quilted hundreds of quilts and gifted numerous of them to family and friends.

Linda had a giving spirit, always giving. She simply loved to give and brighten the lives of others. Linda was a founding member of the Battison Foundation.

She was preceded in death her parents and one sister and one brother.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry of the home; two daughters, Courtney Battison-Osteen and her husband, Beau of Purcell, OK and Ashley Littrell of Moore, OK; two grandchildren, Chance Littrell and Aryana Littrell of Moore, OK; she is also survived by a close niece, Debbie Michno-King and many additional family members and friends.

Services for Linda and her family have been placed in the care of Tribute Memorial Care of Norman.
