LaDonna was raised in Norman, attending Norman Public Schools, graduating from Norman High School in May of 1962. After high school, she attended Cosmetology School earning her beautician licenses. LaDonna loved her career as a hairdresser and invested more than 60 years in her clients in Norman. She practiced until Monday, February 5, 2024 and laid her comb and scissors down for the last time.  LaDonna was an exceptional Mom, providing the impossible for Chris and Jennifer. A family of simple means, LaDonna always found time to support Chris and Jennifer in their endeavors and always found the resources to fulfill their dreams often choosing to do without herself.

When LaDonna wasn’t in the beauty shop, she was passionately supporting her grandchildren in all their activities. Affectionally known as “Nona” she was always full of life, love and loud when cheering and encouraging her grandchildren whether it be on the stage of the Sooner Theatre, track or football field. Many times, her enthusiasm, energy, and one of a kind scream were so contagious many around her were also infected with her zest of passion for her grandchildren. Nona made time for the moments that created the memories, and her children and grandchildren are forever grateful for her endless selflessness.
