Kay LeBlanc was born April 30, 1932, in Norman, Oklahoma, as Kathryn Marie Jansing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jansing. Kay was the youngest of five children and is survived by her husband Robert F. LeBlanc; son Robert F. LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Tammy and grandson Robert LeBlanc, III; son David L. LeBlanc and partner Brian Holloway; daughter Lisa Ann LeBlanc and granddaughters Caroline Hopper and Julianna Hopper and great-grandchildren Briar Hopper and Ford Hopper; and son James LeBlanc and wife Kimberly and grandchildren Kelly LeBlanc and William LeBlanc. She is survived also by numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Nora Jansing; brothers George and James Jansing; and sisters Adaline Jansing Meiser and Agatha Jansing Schader.
Kay grew up in Norman, graduated from St. Joseph's High School, then became a Stewardess for American Airlines. She enjoyed flying but gave it up in 1953 to marry Bob while he was in the USAF. After Bob's military service, they lived in Texas and Louisiana before settling in Tulsa, OK in1971.
Kay was very active in many organizations, including Tulsa Children's Day Nursery, The Little Lighthouse, Tulsa Garden Club, Tulsa Mrs. Club, Forest Ridge Garden Club, Assistance League of Tulsa, Opera Guild, Philharmonic, and ProAmerica.
Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was well known and admired for her incredible generosity, sense of style, fashion, and grace. Her influence and memory will be with us forever.
Kay’s family has requested that donations in Kay’s name be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
