John William Gallion was born September 24, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to Jesse Smith Gallion and Hazel (Reeves) Gallion. He passed away on August 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK.
John’s first priority was his family. He loved shooting skeet, flying his plane, and hunting. John was known as a “Math Nut.” John proudly served our country and retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He served tours in South Korea and Vietnam. John began his military career in the Army Air Corp during WWII.
In addition to his wife, Cynthia Gallion, John was preceded in death by his parents, son, Donald Gallion, and brother, Smitty Gallion.
Survivors include: one daughter, Leslie Peterson and husband Randy of Norman; one son, Ronald Lee Gallion of Norman; four grandchildren: Alicia Gallion, Heather Adams, Summer Cossey, and Kevin Gallion; five great-grandchildren, Damion Stenerson, Samuel Adams, Isabella Cicarelli, Kyler Cossey, and Nathaniel Adams; plus a host of other family and friends.
