In Loving Memory of Jean Lynn Pain
Born on April 26th, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana, Jeana Lynn Pain, was the cherished daughter of Loye Joel and Shirley Joyce Parish (Webster). She drew her last breath on September 12th, 2023, at the poignant moment of 4:44pm, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Throughout her journey, she donned many hats, but the one that truly defined her was the role of a mother – not just to her own, but to all who crossed her path.
Jeana's story isn't one to be merely read; it needs to be felt. For 15 shimmering years, she graced stages as a professional singer. Her voice found its way into homes through an album she recorded with Love Records in Washington, PA. It featured the soulful renditions of Marshal Chapman's “Rode Hard and Put up Wet” and “I Ain’t Gonna Cry No More.” Though she transitioned to a different tune when she moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1979, her songbird spirit continued to enchant audiences as a staple at the Founders Tower and many local events and banquets. Later, in 1990, Jeana chose a new stage, that of the real estate market.
And yet, her innate rock star flair never dimmed. Over an illustrious real estate career spanning over three decades, Jeana garnered accolades, including a noteworthy induction into Remax’s 100% Club in 1996. But it wasn't just the awards that painted the true essence of Jeana. Her extraordinary ability to transform professional encounters into lifelong friendships spoke volumes of her character. She approached every transaction, every interaction with genuine care, ensuring her clients felt valued and special.
Jeana's true legacy lies in the lives she touched - particularly those of her children and grandchildren. They are the living testament to her boundless love and spirit. She is survived by her devoted sons, Aaron Church of Norman, Oklahoma and Mason Pain of Viroqua, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Montana Church, Ewan Gilliland, Peri Moore, Arynn Church, Lily Rain, Gabriel Moon and Elliot Stone Church and Nova Pain; two great-grandchildren, Azlynn Rose Gray and Khalani Bullock; a loving sister, Julie Stewart; and her parents, Shirley Pruden and Loye Parish. By her side through thick and thin were her beloved dogs, Ricta and Eyore.
She was preceded in death by her favorite canine companion, Jack, who was surely wagging awaiting her embrace.
In keeping with Jeana’s wishes, there will be no traditional memorial services. Instead, she beckons each of us to celebrate her spirit by scattering wild bird seeds, planting vibrant flowers, and taking a moment to embrace the beauty of the world around – just as she did every single day.
