Jason Kyle Sparks, 48, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on December 16, 2025.
Jason was born on January 4, 1977, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Ken and Gayle Sparks, who survive him. He grew up surrounded by family and close friends Adam and Zach, and carried those close bonds with him throughout his life.
Jason was a devoted and new husband to Amanda Sparks and a loving father to Kyle, Kinley, and Kallie Sparks, and bonus father to Gracie, Madison, and Rocky Wright. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Sparks. Jason is survived by his nephew Jimmy Sparks Jr. (Jazmin) and his niece Desiree Hamilton (Tyler), and his great nieces and nephew.
Jason spent 10 years working at Map Energy, where coworkers became lifelong friends and family. He also worked alongside his father at Newpark Drilling in Clinton, an experience and car ride he treasured. In earlier years, Jason enjoyed his time at Blunk’s Photography, often sharing many funny stories from that chapter of his life.
Jason had a gift for finding a good bargain and loved spending time browsing Goodwill, thrift stores, and estate sales. He cherished game nights with his kids and parents, taking his children to the park, playing soccer in the backyard with Kallie, and grocery shopping with Kinley. Jason loved playing street fighter and catch with Kyle. He never missed a sporting event, activity, or milestone for his children or recently, his three bonus children. He enjoyed watching and quoting the Office. He had a unique talent for juggling and riding a unicycle, making us all laugh. He despised being cold. He loved to watch the sunrise, especially on the beach and drink coffee. He loved walking his dog Charlie. He loved a good snuggle on the couch and making our kids cringe. He loved spending time with Amanda, the love of his life, whether they were doing anything together or doing nothing at all.
Jason was known for his kind heart, thoughtful nature, generosity, and sense of humor. He was a devoted father and a steady, loving presence to all who knew him.
Jason loved the Lord and served faithfully every Sunday for many years at Life.Church Midwest City. Those he served alongside deeply loved and adored him.
