Ellen Elizabeth Wilkerson passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on July 23, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Ellen was born to Levi and Dorothy (Mullins) Metcalf on October 30, 1942 in Purcell, OK.

Ellen devoted her life to caring for others and had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether through her warm hospitality, her artistic talents, or her servant’s heart, she made everyone feel welcome and valued. She enjoyed painting and creating art, cooking for those she loved, sewing, Bible study, board games, Canasta with her friends at Rivermont, Scrabble, computer games, and puzzles. She especially loved African violets and found joy in the simple pleasures of life shared with family and friends.

A woman of deep faith, Ellen faithfully served her church in many ways throughout the years. She participated in the choir and served as a choir director in her younger years. She also helped establish several churches, missions, and art festivals, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. Her generous spirit extended beyond her local community as she supported charitable organizations, including Samaritan’s Purse, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, and programs benefiting paralyzed Vietnam veterans.

Ellen will be remembered for the love she shared, the kindness she showed to others, and the lasting impact she made on everyone, fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward “Vic” Victor Wilkerson III; her parents; and her brother, Donald Metcalf.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Mandy Wilkerson and Patty Wilkerson; her son Ted (wife Tamra) Wilkerson; her sisters, Patricia Thompson and Diane (husband Tony) Dominguez; her grandchildren Cathy Lynch (husband Jason), Nathan Howell, Ryan Stephens (wife Dixie), Hannah Wilkerson and Levi Wilkerson. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Axel Stephens and Frankie Stephens. She is survived by numerous extended family members and many cherished friends who will miss her deeply.
