Debra Renee (Bruce) Harp, 66, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at her home in Norman.

A lifelong resident, Debbie graduated from Norman High School in 1979 and had many friends. She worked various interesting jobs throughout Norman before settling down at the University of Oklahoma, where she worked for many years.

She married Don Harp. They have been together for 43 years and have enjoyed caring for several cats over the years who found their way to their home.

Debbie was an avid reader; she enjoyed cooking, music, movies, books, and gardening. She especially enjoyed world history and learning everything she could about God and sharing it with anyone who would listen.

She is survived by her husband, Don; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Rex) Brown of Norman, brother-in-law Eddie Piner of Archdale, NC, and sister-in-law Diana Vandegrift of Oklahoma City. Nieces and nephews: Nicole Warren (Lindsey), Brandon Brown (Whitney), and great nieces and nephews Lily, Asher, and Joseph Brown, and Zach, Simone, and Natalie Warren. Also, her Texas cousins Lee Donna Gill, Neida Mock, Connie Stinson, and Jackie Mock.

Debbie was loved and will be deeply missed.

Per Debbie’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
