Cheryl Lyn Coponiti

Cheryl Lyn Coponiti was born on April 2, 1958 in Long Beach, CA. Her parents were Mike and LaVerne I. (Elder) Coponiti. She peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Cheryl spent her life serving the State of Oklahoma, caring for others, advocating for those in need, encouraging others to boldly be themselves in all that they do, and ultimately gifting her organs so others could have a better life. She will forever reside in our hearts and memories as Daughter, Sis, Cuz, Aunt Cheryl, Friend, but most affectionately as Aunt Bubbles!!

Survivors include her father, Mike Coponiti of Norman, OK; two brothers, David L. Coponiti and wife Jennifer of Bloomfield, NM, and Michael ‘Mickey’ D. Coponiti and wife Laura of Chickasha, OK; three nieces, Kaysee Jones and husband Matt of Amber, OK, Mariah Shelby of Bloomfield, NM, and Jordan Burridge and husband Greg of Bloomfield, NM; two nephews, Cody Coponiti and husband Patrick Carlson of Alexandria, VA, and Kaleb Coponiti and wife Camille of Bloomfield, NM; great-nieces/nephews, Kenzlee Jones, Koen Jones, Kasen Jones, Brandon Burridge, Carter Burridge, and Madison Burridge; extended family who she loved deeply; and an abundance of dear friends that she considered family.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, LaVerne I. (Elder) Coponiti.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the Tribute Memorial Care Chapel in Norman, OK. Her inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery Tuttle, OK. Services are under the direction of Tribute Memorial Care, donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Noble Animal Shelter
