Blake William
Moss
Aug 9, 1984 — May 9, 2026
Blake Moss, 41, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on May 9, 2026, following a brief illness.
Blake was born on August 9,1984 to Jimmie and Jacquelyn (Strong) Moss in Norman, Oklahoma. He attended Community Christian School before graduating from Norman North High School in 2002 where he proudly lettered in Baseball.
Following high school, Blake worked alongside his family in the family business, Atlas Pest Control and Greenlawn. After moving to Gulfport, he became self-employed in landscaping, taking pride in the work he did and the relationships he built along the way. Through his work, Blake formed many lasting friendships and became known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Blake met the love of his life, Jill Nitkiewicz, in 2012 and shortly thereafter moved to Gulfport, Mississippi. The two were married on November 2, 2013, beginning a beautiful life together built on love, laughter, and family.
They welcomed their first child, Brooks William, on March 1, 2016, followed by their daughter, Chandler Sue, on October 20, 2020. Blake's greatest joy in life was being a husband and father, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jill Moss, and their children, Brooks and Chandler; his parents, Jimmie and Jacquelyn (Strong) Moss; his brother, Derek Moss; his father-in-law, Paul Nitkiewicz; brother-in-law, Jerry Nitkiewicz; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and presence.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Imogene Moss; maternal grandparents, Bill and Frieda Strong; mother-in-law, Karen Nitkiewicz; brother-in-law, Jacob Nitkiewicz; uncle, Gary Moss; and aunt, Sherri Moss.
He was a man of unwavering faith, holding steadfast to God even in the toughest of times. A kind soul with the sweetest heart, he touched everyone he met through quiet strength and endless compassion. His love for his family ran deep—a constant, steady presence that made those around him feel safe and cherished.
Though a man of few words, when he spoke, people listened, because his words carried wisdom and sincerity. He was always looking out for others, making sure everyone was okay before thinking of himself.
Guided by strong values and a heart centered on faith, he lived every day putting God first, setting an example of grace, humility, and devotion.
As much as our hearts long for Blake to still be here with us, we find peace in knowing he is fully restored and now resting safely in the arms of Jesus.
This is not goodbye - it is simply "until we meet again."
Forever loved. Forever missed.
