Stacy Sue Zurcher passed away unexpectedly, May 14, 2023, at her home in Norman, Oklahoma.
Stacy was born March 16, 1981, to parents, Paul and Becky Zurcher, in Stillwater OK. Growing up in Norman and graduating from Norman High School, Stacy began her college education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Staying true to herself and her creative passion, she took a variety of classes in the School of Art.
She was empathetic, creative, smart, and had a great sense of humor with a quick wit. Life was never boring with Stacy. She had many interests including painting, jewelry making, bass guitar, and helping to encourage and offer support to her friends and family, whom she treasured. Her greatest happiness came when she could be of help to others.
She was passionate about her painting and creating. These last few years, Stacy loved going to local festivals, meeting people, making new friends, and setting up her works for the world to see. Spoken like a true artist, she often said about creating her artwork - it wasn’t about making money - the reward was in the act of creating and how it made her happy.
Stacy was described as authentic, kindhearted, brave, and independent. She was fiercely loyal. Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her would agree that she was one of the most loyal friends you would ever have.
Stacy was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, friend, and she loved her family fiercely above all things.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe Tullius, and Hans and Hanna Zurcher. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Boyd; son, Jackson McBeth; mother, Becky Zurcher Trumble (Russell); father, Paul Zurcher (Joyce); grandmother, Martha N. Tullius; sister, Lisa Zurcher (William); niece, Jessica Bieda; nephew, Joseph Bieda; great-aunt Helen Tullius Todd, and many cousins, friends, and her beloved pet dog, Disco.
