Michelle Lee (Kessler) Burd

Michelle Lee (Kessler) Burd was born on May 11, 1968 in Nürnberg, Germany to Michael and Judith (Beaver) Kessler. She passed away suddenly on July 8, 2018 at her parents’ home in Norman.

Michelle graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS Degree in Nursing in 1991 and became a Registered Nurse. She served in that capacity until she became disabled in 1999. Michelle had found her true calling and loved her career.

Survivors include: her husband, Daniel Burd, of Norman; brother Wayne and wife Bobbie of McAlester; daughter Bailey Proctor; and son Tyler Williams, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Michelle was preceded in death by grandparents Levi and Elsie Beaver and Richard and Ardyce Kessler.

Michelle was an avid OU fan, and late in life became enamored with social media.

A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held from 1:00-4:00pm, July 28th at the Norman First American United Methodist Church, located at 1950 Beaumont Dr.
