Laura Leora Wilcox

Laura Leora Wilcox was born on August 26, 1929 to Virgil and Florence White. She passed away peacefully on September 7, 2016 surrounded by her daughters.

Laura centered her life on God, family, and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether on a mission trip to Mexico or cooking pancake breakfasts for the church she so loved, she was always there to help.

Survivors include her three daughters: Sherry Jones and her husband George, Karen Ferrell, and Joyce Cummins and her husband, Bill; five grandchildren: Tamara Schwartz and her husband, Don, Amiee Pipes and her husband Hardin, Kenny Merrell, Missy Stewart, and James Estes; six great-grandchildren: Patrick Schwartz, Karissa Knight and her husband Dan, Alex Stewart, Jennifer Schwartz, Taylor Stephens, and Morgan Merrell; two great-great-grandchildren: Donovan Tedeschi and Weston Knight; her sister Emma Loyd; and many nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by: husband Kenneth, her parents, brother Preston and sister Velma, her daughter Kathi McDow, and grandson Charles (Chuck) Ferrell.

Her daughters would like to thank the Brookdale staff and Good Sheppard Hospice staff for their loving care of their Mom.
