Kimberly Ann Hutchinson

October 16, 1980 — January 13, 2021

Kimberly Ann Hutchinson passed away unexpectedly on January 13th, 2021 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma.

Kim was a devoted wife, friend, and educator. She is survived by her husband, Craig Hutchinson, parents Martha and Charlie Siau, sister and brother-in-law, Jen and Ward Niccore of Hawaii, and nephew Ky, and nieces, Keppler, and Canyon Niccore, along with niece Kayla and nephews Nathan and Alex Hood.

She is also survived by countless people whose stories have been forever impacted by her grace, love, intentionality, humor, and radiant smile. To quote one of the young women who was blessed to have Kim as a mentor, "Her love knew no bounds, and she poured into us with her whole heart and soul."

Kim was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on 10/16/1980.
She graduated from Texas Christian University in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She later received a Masters Degree in Education Administration from West Texas A&M University.

In 1999, Kim met the love of her life, Craig Hutchinson, and married him on July 26th, 2003. Together, the couple had an enormous impact on adolescents' lives in Fort Worth, Amarillo, and Norman, through the ministry of Young Life.

Before her most recent head principal role at Longfellow Middle School, she served for three years as an assistant principal. Kim also previously worked in the Amarillo Independent School District in Amarillo, Texas, for 14 years. She served as an assistant principal at the elementary and middle school levels for four years, worked as a curriculum assessment specialist for five years, and spent the first five years of her education career as a classroom teacher at the elementary level. She loved her students and wanted them to succeed.

Kim was known for always calling out the good in others. Kim and Craig’s home was a welcoming haven for kids as she went out of her way to show them the love of Jesus. Friends often referred to Kim as Momma Kim, as so many looked to her for guidance while she always responded with love, truth, and grace.

Armed with a quick wit and infectious laugh, she had a smile that could light up a room along with a heart that would deeply care for everyone she met.

Although she left this world too soon, Kim will be remembered as a woman of faith who loved unconditionally, lived selflessly, and radiated the love of Christ.

As Kim would often share with her Young Life girls, "You are a new creation chosen by God, holy and beloved, redeemed and forgiven, radiant and your face should never be hidden in shame."
