Karen Sue Searcy, of Oklahoma City passed away Thursday, July 1st, 2021 in her home, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 58. She was born July 4, 1962 in Oklahoma City, OK to Delbert Mize and Patsy (McCalip) Mize. She attended Noble public schools until 1978 when she married the love of her life, Kenneth, who she lovingly called “Babe”. She faithfully supported his ministry as pastors wife of Calvary Holiness Church. Karen volunteered for several years as a teacher at Mt. Vernon Christian Academy and Liberty Christian Academy. She enjoyed serving her Lord and never wavered in her faith. Karen raised four children who were her greatest joy. She loved singing and reading to her grandchildren, and they often fought over her back rubs. Karen loved her chocolate chips, and you could sometimes find her walking on her treadmill with a handful of chocolate chips. She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Mize. Karen is survived by her husband, Kenneth Searcy of the home; her mother Patsy Mize of Norman, OK; her daughter, Sheryl Edwards and Husband Trent of Blair, OK; sons Tyler Searcy of Moore, OK, Kyle Searcy of Norman, OK, and Bradley Searcy and wife Melonie of Blanchard, OK; 8 Grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.
