Elizabeth Ellen Estes

Elizabeth Ellen (Lewis) Estes of Norman, formerly of Seminole, entered into Eternal Rest on March 6, 2018 at the age of 76. She was born on July 27, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Roy Leek and Laura Rose (Hopkins) Lewis.

Elizabeth was very strong in her Methodist Faith. Elizabeth worked within the Democrat Party for over thirty-five years, and served as the County Chair many times; she also was a member of the Eastern Star, the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, and the Business and Professional Women’s Organization. Elizabeth cherished her time with family and friends, and she was interested in any event that her grandsons participated in, such as school plays, soccer games, and tennis matches.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved cat, Samantha. She is survived by: daughter Laura Gann and husband Gaddis, grandson Garret Gann and wife Kelley, and grandson Matthew Gann, all of Norman; she is also survived by her spouse, Dean Estes of Seminole.
