Obituary for Bobby Dale Seat

Bobby Dale Seat, 72, of Oklahoma City, passed away May 10, 2020. Bobby was born on September 24, 1947, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Vernon Dale Seat & Ruby LoDene (Williams) Janney.

Bobby Dale graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore in June 1966. While there, he was the vice president of the Chevron Society and the Athletic Club. Bobby Dale proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1967–1970 during the Vietnam War. He was a Spec-4, who did two tours in Vietnam, one as a “grunt” and the other as a door gunner for the 82nd Airborne Division. Bobby Dale was injured during his service, rendering him 100 percent disabled. He was a decorated war veteran with many medals including the distinguished Purple Heart.

Bobby Dale’s first love was horses. He enjoyed riding with his father. He never saw a hot rod or a chromed Harley-Davidson he did not love. One of his favorite places to ride was in the mountains of Red River, New Mexico. Bobby Dale loved his friends and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Bobby Dale committed his life to Jesus Christ. He often carried a small silver cross that was given to him by Reverend Harry Myers. This cross was with him for all 25 plus surgeries.

Bobby Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Seat; his father, Vernon Dale Seat; his mother, Ruby Lodene (Williams) Janney. He is survived by his daughter, Maressa Treat, her husband Greg; his grandchildren, Mason, Cooper, and Olivia; his best friend Steve Brown, his wife Sara, and their family.
