Shane Vice

Shane Vice resides in Norman with his wife, Deedra and their two sons: Dalton, a student at the University of Oklahoma, and Brant, a student at Norman North.  A graduate of Cordell High School, Shane obtained a Mortuary Science Degree from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1988 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1993. 

Shane is the recipient of numerous industry awards and recognitions including being voted Funeral Director of the Year at the national level by his peers.  He specializes in restorative art creation, allowing families the option of visual closure through personal one-on-one time with their loved ones. 

Shane actively participates and engages in the Norman Community, previously serving on the Board of Directors for the Norman Chamber of Commerce.   His membership affiliations include the Sooner Rotary Club and the Norman Business Association.  Shane’s innovative efforts have resulted in the implementation of the Every 15 Minutes Program, Safe Escape, and the Jim Thorpe Youthful Drinking and Driving Prevention Program.

Shane enjoys traveling with his family, classic muscle car shows, and watching Sooner Sports.

 

Mike McElyea

Mike McElyea joined the funeral industry in 1990 with Parks Brothers Funeral Homes in Lincoln County, working alongside his grandmother and uncle. In July of 1992 he married Jana Tetirick and they moved to Dallas, Texas, where he entered the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, graduating in 1993. Following his education, he returned to Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague, where he served as the funeral director.

 

In 1995, Mike began working for Gaskill Funeral Chapel and Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Shawnee, Oklahoma, serving as a funeral director and later as the General Manager. In 2004 Mike began working for Roberts Funeral Home in Blackwell, Oklahoma, where he worked until 2015, when he and his family moved to Norman to be the location manager at Primrose Funeral Service. 

 

In 2017 Mike joined the Tribute team, where he splits time between their location in Norman and their sister company, Parks Brothers Funeral Service.

 

Mike is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Norman and is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he is involved in the sound ministry.  Mike is married to Jana and they have two children, Brandon and Caitlyn.

Bruce Ingram

A life-long Norman resident, Bruce Ingram graduated from Norman High School and continued his education, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Physical Education and Recreation.  Following college he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas graduating with his Master’s degree in Religious Education.  Bruce was united in marriage to Valerie Hill in 1982 in Norman.

Bruce served Bethel Baptist Church of Norman as Minister of Students and Recreation for 27 years until 2010, ending a 30 year focus on working with teenagers and their parents. Valerie taught in the Norman Public School System for 30 years, most recently at Lincoln Elementary, retiring in May 2015.

Bruce and Valerie live in Norman and are the proud parents of two children, Courtney and Josh.  Bruce and Valerie are active members of Emmaus Baptist Church in South  Oklahoma City.  Bruce and Valerie are avid Sooner fans.

In addition to his responsibilities of assisting with services and officiating services, Bruce serves as a business chaplain to companies in the Norman and Oklahoma City Metro area, including the BNSF Railroad Company.

Bruce joined the Tribute Family in September 2015.  Bruce has a strong passion and desire to help people during life’s difficult experiences.  

Angela Barbour

Angela Barbour has been with us since June of 2013. Originally from Tulsa, Angela moved to Norman in 2001 to attend the University of Oklahoma. There she earned her B.A. in Psychology with academic distinction and later her M.Ed. with a concentration in School Counseling. Angela and her husband Robert have two children: son Andrew and daughter Caitlyn, and two Maltese puppies. They live in Norman and attend Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Angela serves on the Board of Directors for Norman NEXT as Chair, is the President and Service Projects Chair of the Moore Rotary Club, and serves on the City of Norman Social and Voluntary Services Commission.  She is a graduate of the 2016 Leadership Norman class, is a graduate of Leadership Moore, and was recognized as one of Norman's NEXT Under 40 young professionals in 2014. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, spending time with her family, and traveling.

Joe Gil

Born Joseph A. Gil, most people know and call him Joe Gil. Joe recently retired after 35 years in the restaurant/hospitality business. He is also retired from the U.S. Army and the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Joe is currently serving as the Executive Director of Le Tour De Vin, a joint Rotary fundraiser, for the combined Rotary Clubs of Norman.

Larry Willis

Larry retired after a career in public school and career tech teaching, coaching, and administration.  He moved to Norman to become Director of Transportation and Emergency Daycare Center for his grandkids.  When the above duties allow, Larry enjoys playing golf.
